Barbara called The Basement Doctor about her house in Findlay that had a nasty crawlspace. She was concerned because water was getting into the crawl and her floors were cold. Debris left behind by previous contractors was also an issue Barbara wanted to discuss. Project Manager Rick Blanchard did a full inspection and went over all her options to fix the problems. After careful consideration, Barbara decided it was best to proceed with the project.
The crawlspace was dirty and full of debris, old plastic, boxes, old insulation, etc. Rick put together a solution that involved a Cleanspace encapsulation system with drainage matting. This system keeps the moisture and humidity, which tend to cause bigger issues, out of the space. Our crew then installed a Smart Sump System, which is specifically designed for crawl space drainage, and they also installed Silver Glo on the walls. This product boasts a radiant barrier that reflects heat back into the crawl space and has an R Value of 13 for ultimate energy savings. Spray foam insulation was added to the rim joists to keep the cold air out and help the floors stay warm. All products combined to make a drier, cleaner, healthier, more energy efficient usable crawlspace, and Barbara was extremely satisfied!
